Latte Art
This is embarrassing. I never thought I’d be someone who takes photos of his coffee… life is full of suprises.
My mom gave me a Breville Barista Express a year ago and I soon started learning how to make latte art. At first, as you can see, I was very bad. After gradually improving for a year, here are the most important things that I’ve learned:
- Milk is the barrier to entry
If you don’t have well-steamed milk, you can’t make art. Here are some tricks for steaming the milk:- Maintain a vortex at all times.
- Only put air in for a few seconds before the milk is warm.

You want crema
If there’s no crema, you can’t make good art. Too much crema, and you can’t make art easily. You can make art in either scenario, but it’s much easier if you adjust your bean brand, roast date, and grind size until you get the perfect crema. -
Learn to pour
Watch some YouTube on how to pour. After that, it just takes practice.
